Just stepped on Phnom Penh a few hours ago from 4 day-long trip to a very remote area of Cambodia where almost evergreen forest called "Prey Lang" resides.

Mysterious view along Stung Sen river, Sandan district, Kampong Thom province. Stung Sen is an important tributary of Mekong river. The river's bio-ecology system is under threat from upstream planned hydro-powers and dams.

To reach two villages, Sampor Thom and Sre Veal of Dang Kambet commune, we were guided and protected by an armed man.

Me (right) and Ponreay, my colleague, were talking to forestry community members on the purpose of our trip. Eduction and small donation were made.

It's me on boat back to Kampong Thom. I was fascinated by the river view.
I recommend everyone to a visit to the place. There's on-going tour service to the amazing place by my friend, Ponreay, who is a regular visitor and expert of the area. Contact me if you plan a trip :)
